Opportunity Details
Credit Control
• Support with debtor management, including chasing outstanding payments professionally.
• Accurately match and allocate customer receipts to invoices.
• Maintain up-to-date records of customer accounts.
Banking & Cash Management
• Assist with daily banking activities including payment production and receipting.
• Perform daily cashbook updates and reconciliations.
• Support the monitoring of cashflow and bank balances.
Purchase Ledger
• Assist with processing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approvals.
• Support preparation of supplier payment runs.
• Maintain supplier records and help resolve invoice/payment queries.
Financial Administration
• Maintain organised filing systems for finance documentation.
• Assist with preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with the production of sales invoices for management services
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance team as required.
Learning and Development
• Actively participate in the Finance Apprenticeship programme and on-the-job training.
• Apply new knowledge and skills to practical finance tasks.
• Demonstrate curiosity and initiative in developing an understanding of broader finance and accounting practices.

Skills Required
Strong numeracy and confidence with numbers
Good attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications Required
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4 or above. A-Levels (or equivalent Level 3 qualification).
Training
BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Prospects
This apprenticeship is the first step towards building a long-term career in finance. As you develop your skills and gain experience, there will be opportunities to progress within the Finance team, with support to continue studying towards higher-level qualifications (such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA). Our aim is to help you grow into a fully qualified accountant, with a pathway to take on more responsibility and develop your career within the business.
